April Newsletter STAFF NEWS;

Welcome Amy Whiting – Our New Deputy Manager; 22 Street Lane Nursery would like to introduce our new Deputy Manager, Amy Whiting who will be taking over as Deputy Manager of the setting on Wednesday 2nd May. Some of you may have already seen Amy around the setting as she has already spent some time with us. We would like to give Amy a warm welcome to the 22 Street Lane team.

“I have been lucky to spend a number of years abroad. I spent 10 years working within childcare clubs mostly in Greece and France. Since returning to the UK in 2013 I have been working in a private day nursery and have been the manager since January 2015. I am very proud to say the nursery was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in 2017.“ “I have recently completed my BA Honours in Early Childhood Education and my Early Years Teacher Status. I am now studying a Masters Degree in Early Childhood through the University of Sheffield. I have a true passion for working within the Early Years and love to see young children learn and develop. I believe play is a really important part of young children’s development and that we should follow children’s interests to support their learning. I am really looking forward to becoming part of the team and a part of something special at 22 Street Lane.”

Welcoming Amy Millar, Deputy Room Leader of Ducklings;

A big warm welcome to Amy Millar who has joined our Ducklings Team as Deputy Room Leader. Amy has worked in a variety of childcare settings and has recently been touring on the Disney dream liner. “I have always had an interest in working with children and throughout school always chose subjects to point me in that direction, ending with a BA(Hons) Childhood Studies degree from the University of Leeds. I have gained a lot from my previous experience and I look forward to bringing it to 22SLN and to further my knowledge and learning in this environment. I look forward to working with the younger children and getting to know them and their parents/carers.”
