Goslings;
The Goslings children have shown a huge interest in all things relating to animals and bugs, this started when one of the children visited a zoo and told us all about their visit. The children have enjoyed playing with the small world animals and have enjoyed dipping their feet in paint and making animal footprints on paper which encouraged their early literacy skills. We have also spent time visiting our three chickens, Penny, Zander and Rapunzel, we had chance to feed them! The Goslings were very excited about this, this also helped us to teach the children about hygiene and the importance of washing our hands before and after meal times. Do you have any pets at home or have you visited a Zoo or Farm recently? If so we would love to see some photographs to help us with our theme. Thank you.

Swans; Cookery Classes
The Swans have continued to enjoy their weekly cookery classes with Zoe. This teaches the children about healthy food choices, they have recently made their very own pizza, fresh bread and pasta! Their pasta class allowed the children to explore where pasta originates from and the different shapes and types of pasta you can make. Having chosen spaghetti to make the children were then able to have ‘hands on’ experience, using sharp knives and rolling pins. The experience allowing the children to learn how to handle equipment in a safe manner. Once the children had made their pasta, they were able to take it home with them to cook with their family and extend their learning at home.
