22 Street Lane Nursery - November 2018 Newsletter

November Newsletter Goslings

The Goslings have had a fun filled October. We have enjoyed the Autumn weather and we have taken inspirations from the natural environment. We have been setting up many autumnal activities such as leaf and pine cone printing, leaf crowns and leaf messy play trays. We also ventured out to Roundhay park for walks to collect natural materials such as conkers and pine cones. Mid-month, we had a tea party with our Gosling grandparents and we had a great time playing in the garden. It was lovely seeing the bonds between the grandparents and their grandchildren, we then ended the tea party with some sandwiches and cakes together. To end October, we celebrated Halloween with many themed activities, the children loved helping to scoop out the pumpkins and play with the fruit. We made rice cake and raisin Incy Wincy spider themed snacks to take home and lots of messy, painting and sticking crafts to take home. The Goslings have really enjoyed exploring different colour’s this month and we have provided the children with themed activities and messy trays relating to the colours which they have loved to explore. Parents Evening: The Goslings parents evening will be held on Thursday 29th November 6.15 – 7.30pm. This will give you an opportunity to speak to your child’s Key Person and discuss how they have settled into nursery. Please book an appointment with your child’s Key Person.
