New Goslings Apprentice: Ashley McTear

We would like to welcome Ashley McTear to the team. Ashley has joined the Goslings Room as an Apprentice Practitioner. “I have a passion for working with children which comes from my experience with babysitting. I've always ensured that all the children's routines are followed, as I know that it helps them to feel comfortable and settled. I have helped to look after my niece since she was a newborn when I could, and even though she's now in primary school, I still look forward to taking care of her! This has helped me to practice planning different activities and meals, and I am looking forward to completing my Level 3 Apprenticeship at 22 Street Lane Nursery so that I can learn more about the way children grow and develop first-hand.”

New Swans Deputy Room Leader: Emma O’Hearne

We are happy to introduce Emma as our Swans Deputy Room Leader, who will be taking over from Claire when she leaves.

“I have always had a passion for working with children and I always knew it was something I wanted to pursue. At 19 I started my Level 2 Apprenticeship in Early Years and then went on to do my Level 3 Qualification the following year. I now have over ten years of experience working in early years care and have loved every minute. Seeing children develop and knowing that I have been a part of that journey gives me such great joy and satisfaction! I am committed to delivering high- quality care for all the children at 22 Street Lane and I’m very excited to be joining this team.”

New Cygnets Practitioner: Paige Hunter

Welcome to Paige who has joined the Cygnets Room as an Unqualified Practitioner until she completes her Level 3 course at college later this year. “I am currently working towards my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Early Education at college, aspiring to be a primary school teacher after university. Working in a childcare environment has really cemented my passion for having a child-centred career and I feel incredibly lucky to be a huge influence upon the children’s academic nursery life here at 22 Street Lane Nursery.”
