Country of the Month - Italy (16th - 21st August)

Following on from their Euro 2020 win, the children will be learning about the history, culture and language of Italy this month.

The children will learn about the famous Italian artists Leonardo Da Vinci, Donatello, Michael Angelo and Raphael and the masterpieces they have created - and yes, they are the origins of the Ninja Turtles' names. There is the wonderful city of Venice filled with canals to explore, and Italy is also the home of the Ferrari too. There are just so many exciting things to learn about Italy and we're sure that Chris will be very excited to create a very tasty menu during the week. The children will be able to have some lovely vanilla gelato too.

Did you know?

The Italian flag is 'Tricolore' with green, white and red coloured vertical bands. The flag colours are said to represent these virtues: hope (green), faith (white), and charity (red).

Eid Al-Adha Festivities

The children had a lovely day learning all about the celebration of Eid Al-Adha. The children created their own lovely decorations of the moon and stars by gluing, sticking and painting different materials together. Some of the children explored the wonderful henna decorations and even had their own done by our very talented members of staff. The babies explored the lovely decorations and jewellery and they all shared a lovely story explaining all about Eid. The children also enjoyed a special meal of lamb keema too!
