Chicklets Room News The children have shown a big interest in recognising their facial features this month. The Chicklets have enjoyed spotting their features in the mirror and have been pointing to their features during the song ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes”. We have been celebrating Eid this month. The Chicklets have enjoyed looking at the Ramadan book with staff members and learning about the traditions. The children also enjoyed making their own Eid crafts consisting of the moon and stars. In line with Eid, we have also been celebrating Pakistan as our 'Country of the Month'. To celebrate Pakistan, we have been doing lots of messy play to explore the colours of the Pakistani flag. During the times we have had good weather, the children have enjoyed going on walks to Roundhay Park. The children spotted lots of dogs on the walk and we even stopped off at the lake to say hello to the Swans. We have also been accessing the baby garden during the day too. The Chicklets have shown an interest in the mud where they have been digging and filling the different pots and pans. We also noticed a ladybird in the garden on the leaves which the children were fascinated with. The children have continued to explore different types of messy play this month. The favourite so far has been the shaving foam play where the children have made marks with the different natural resources. The Chicklets have also enjoyed exploring the sand and filling the different pots up with it.
