Country of the Month - Portugal (8-12th June)

This month, we will be learning about Portugal as the Country of the Month. Portugal is a southern European country on the Iberian Peninsula, bordering Spain. Its location on the Atlantic Ocean has influenced many aspects of its culture, for example, seafood dishes like salt cod and grilled sardines are national dishes. The children will have the opportunity to learn about the customs and traditions of Portugal, as well as the history of the country. They will also have the chance to learn some key Portuguese words.

Did you know?

Portugal has the second-longest bridge in the world. The Vasco da Gama Bridge in Lisbon is 7.6 miles / 12.3 km long!

Summer Parents Evening: 8th & 15th June

We will be holding our bi-annual Parents Evening this month via telephone. We feel this worked well last year when we previously held the Parents Evening, so we will be following the same format in line with government Coronavirus guidance that will still be in place on these dates. This will give you an opportunity to speak to your child’s Key Person about their development and life at nursery. Please note we can only allocate 10 minutes per family. If you would like to make an appointment, please speak to your child’s Key Person to book a slot for the following dates

Chicklets, Goslings and Swans: Tuesday 8th June Ducklings and Cygnets: Tuesday 15th June

Staff Training Day Reminder: Wednesday 23rd June

We would like to remind all parents and carers that the nursery will be closed on Wednesday 23rd June for the team training day.

We will be back open on Thursday 24th June at 7:30am.
