Healthy Eating Week Celebrations We will be supporting ‘Healthy Eating Week’ from 12th-16th June, where we will be teaching the children about what foods keep us healthy and what foods we should not eat too much of. Each of the rooms will be making their own healthy snacks and will have a chance to visit the nursery allotment to see where our food comes from!
Parents Evening Parents are invited for a 10 minute parent consultation; this will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and their next steps with their key person. There will be a Tapestry post to book your time slot. If you would prefer a telephone call, please let us know and we can arrange this on another day. Monday 19th June, 6-7.30pm - Chicklets, Goslings and Swans Wednesday 28th June, 6-7.30pm - Ducklings and Cygnets
Eid Al Adah Celebrations: Wednesday 29th June - Sunday 2nd July The children will be learning the customs and traditions of Eid Al Adah. Muslims celebrate Eid Al-Adha on the last day of the Hajj. The Hajj is a pilgrimage to Makkah in Saudi Arabia. It occurs every year and is the Fifth Pillar of Islam. Muslims will greet each other with “Eid Mubarak” and traditionally exchange gifts and share food with friends and family. To celebrate, Oli will be cooking up a yummy feast of traditional Asian foods for us to share. The children will also have the opportunity to take part in Eid inspired activities such as making their own Eid Mubarak pictures consisting of stars and moons, as well as creating Henna Hands by copying some beautiful henna patterns. The older children will be able to make their own Eid Biscuits, using a range of traditional Asian spices.
