22 Street Lane Nursery - June 2024 Newsletter
Swans Room News June Newsletter
Throughout May the Swans have loved connecting with our community by going on trips and visits to the charity shop, bakery and local coffee shops. A group of children went on the bus to travel to Little Leeds, a local coffee shop which also offers a space for the children to play. The Swans children had so much fun playing before enjoying a babycino. We can’t wait for another visit soon! We have also been focusing on one of our core nursery books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children have had lots of opportunities to explore the book in all areas of the room. In the creative area, we made some beautiful pictures of butterflies using oil pastels and flower petals. In the Finger Gym Area, the children used their fine motor skills to mould playdough into balls to create their caterpillars. Recently lots of the Swans have been on some lovely holidays to different countries around the world and have loved sharing these experiences with their friends. To follow on from, this we decided to have our own day filled with exciting activities where the children got to relive these memories. The children created their own boarding passes, made playdough ice creams and had fun in the sand. We can’t wait for another fun-filled month in June. We are especially looking forward to our trip to Stockeld Park!
