Celebrating St. David’s Day Happy St. David’s Day! Today we honoured Saint David at the nursery, who is the patron Saint of Wales. We have been celebrating the Welsh culture throughout the week by crafting the daffodil which is the Welsh symbol, as well as making traditional Welsh cakes! The children have enjoyed a traditional Welsh stew for lunch and explored themed tuff trays and made their very own Welsh dragons!

Country of the Month: March 2024 - Ireland Throughout March we will be celebrating Ireland as our Country of the Month.

Ireland is known as the Emerald Isle because it is so green and rains for a good chunk of the year. The children will be learning about the Harp, which is the national symbol of Ireland and traditional Celtic music which features fiddles, tin whistles and harps, and who can resist giving Irish Dancing a go!
