Pumpkin Decoration Competition! We wanted to say a massive ‘well done’ to all the children (and parents!) that took part In our pumpkin competition. All the pumpkins were fantastic, and you should all be very proud of yourselves! The winners have been chosen for each room and all the pumpkins looked fantastic in the reception and in front of the nursery over the week.
Remembrance Sunday: W/C Monday 6th November Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. We remember the Armed Forces and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth. The children will be creating their own poppies for Remembrance Day, which will be displayed in Reception for you all to see as a sign of respect.
Nursery Rhyme Week: W/C Monday 20th November During this week, we will be taking part in Nursery Rhyme Week and lots of rhyme inspired activities. Did you know? • Nursery rhymes and children’s songs boost vocabulary and language development • They help children to develop literacy skills • They provide a fun way to support early numeracy skills • Nursery rhymes help children to develop social, physical and emotional skills.
