22 Street Lane Nursery - November 2024 Newsletter

November Newsletter NEWS Diwali Celebrations: Friday 1st November Diwali is the Indian festival of lights, usually lasting five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika between mid-October and mid-November. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”. We will be celebrating Diwali on Friday 1st November, and throughout the following week (W/C Monday 4th November), so that all of our children have a chance to celebrate! We will be lighting up the nursery, sampling lots of delicious Indian treats and creating colourful rangoli patterns. If you are celebrating Diwali at home, please share some photos on Tapestry, as we would love to see what you get up to!

Remembrance Sunday: Sunday 10th November Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. We remember the Armed Forces and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth. The children will be creating their own poppies for Remembrance Day, which will be displayed in Reception for you all to see as a sign of respect. Please Note: We will be learning all about this event from W/C 4th November.
