Goslings Room News
We’ve had a wonderful October in Goslings, full of autumn celebrations and lots of fun activities! We began the month by celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, learning how families in China gather under the full moon to share mooncakes and give thanks for the harvest. The children made their own pretend mooncakes from playdough using rollers and chopsticks, explored a family-themed sand tray, and looked at pictures of their own families. For World Mental Health Day, we enjoyed a relaxing Spa Day! The Goslings explored sensory lights and squishy toys, relaxed with cucumber eye masks and massage mats, and made fruity drinks, experimenting with lemons and limes. We even had a warm foot spa with flower petals and bubbles. This month, we also celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Light. The children followed colourful scarf Rangoli patterns, explored a light-filled festival scene, and created beautiful Rangoli and firework art using powder paint, forks, and their fingers. October also brought us lovely autumn walks, where we spotted squirrels, swans, acorns, and conkers. We celebrated lots of Goslings’ birthdays too, with dancing, bubbles, and their favourite music! To end the month, we hosted our Halloween Stay & Plays. Families joined us for spooky sensory trays, pumpkin play, wobbly jelly, and crafts, all topped off with Oli’s delicious Halloween treats.
