Cygnets Room News

We have had a wonderful and busy month in the Cygnets Room! The children have been full of curiosity as we’ve explored the world around us and celebrated lots of exciting events together. This month, lots of our learning has been inspired by the Autumn season. The children have loved exploring natural materials such as conkers, pinecones and acorns, using them in creative play and sensory activities. We’ve also been so impressed with the children’s home learning, where they went on their very own autumnal treasure hunts! It has been lovely hearing all about the treasures they found and brought to share. Towards the end of the month, we embraced all things spooky with our Halloween celebrations. The children enjoyed messy play while carving pumpkins, taking part in themed activities inspired by Room on the Broom, and even making their own magic wands. Our pumpkin patch in the big garden has been a big hit! Everyone loved exploring and discovering pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. The children also attended our Halloween Disco, showing off their fantastic costumes and dance moves! Looking ahead to next month, we’re excited to continue our learning about the changing seasons, exploring the transition from autumn to winter. We’ll also be connecting more with our local community, taking trips and celebrating Bonfire Night with lots of colourful, creative and sensory activities.
