Goslings Room News

This month, many of the Goslings children have celebrated their second birthdays! To celebrate, we have taken part in music, singing and dancing. After lots of practicing, most of the Goslings can now join in with singing happy birthday to their friends. The Goslings have been very helpful in making yummy cake to take home as part of these celebrations. The Goslings did this by pressing the different buttons on weighing scales to help us measure out all the ingredients needed for a jam sponge cake. They then helped add the different ingredients to a large mixing bowl and take turns mixing it together. We continued to follow the children’s interest in cooking by arranging for some of the Goslings to go on a trip to Haley & Clifford on Street Lane. The staff there donated a yummy lemon drizzle cake for the Goslings to decorate at the café and sell at the Macmillan coffee morning. The cake looked beautiful and the children thoroughly enjoyed working together to decorate it. This month we have also been busy making some enhancements to the baby garden! We have added four circle chalk boards which the Goslings have loved making marks on. In addition to this, we have also created a music wall using different pots and pans. The Goslings have been using a wide range of tools such as wooden spoons, ladles and whisks to experiment with the different sounds they can make. Well done Goslings!
