Country of the Month: ITALY (16 th - 20 th September) This month we will be exploring Italy as our Country of the Month! We will be visiting different parts of the country such as Venice, Rome, Florence and Tuscany! We will be looking at the famous landmark ‘The Leaning Tower of Pisa’ and will try and construct this using different materials. We will be making our very own pizzas and choosing our favourite toppings! We will also be sampling various pasta dishes made by our Head Chef Chris. If you have any resources which will support our Country of the Month, we would be most grateful. Ciao! Did you know? Italy was the birthplace of the Renaissance in the 14 th century, which was a period of great cultural achievements in poetry, painting and architecture. Famous artists such as Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo Da Vinci were all famous artists in this period, and later became the inspiration for the names of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Macmillan Bake Sale: Thursday 26 th - Friday 27 th September

This year we are supporting Macmillan Cancer Research, we will be holding a 22 Street Lane Bake Sale on Friday 27th September. I am sure that there are some amazing bakers amongst you all, we would really appreciate your contribution! If you would like to donate to the sale, please can you ensure all that all ingredients are listed, and no nuts are included. All money raised will be donated to Cancer Research.
