Country of the Month, September 2023 Throughout August, we have explored Italy as our Country of the Month. In our construction areas, we replicated some of the world's most famous architecture, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and The Colosseum. We made bruschetta and pizza, using basil that was grown in our allotment area and different pastas to make pictures and collages. As we have so many new families joining us in September, instead of a country of the month, we will be focusing on getting to know our new children and families including their family backgrounds and what they celebrate.

Yorkshire Day Celebrations The children had lots of fun celebrating Yorkshire Day! We explored the beauties of our county and created the Yorkshire Flag using different, natural materials. We came to the nursery dressed in white, blue and yellow too and had delicious Yorkshire Puddings for lunch.

Sunny Fun at our Beach Party Day! When the sun finally came out, we held our very own 22 Street Lane Beach Party Day. The children came to nursery in the swimwear and took part in many water activities, including playing in our paddling pools and on our water slide. The children had hours of fun in the sun followed by a fish and chip lunch with frozen yoghurt as a dessert, yum!
