NEXT-LEVEL CAPABILITIES

The COVVI Hand is a myoelectric, multi-articulating, hand for those with both congenital and acquired limb differences. Highly functional and versatile- this prosthetic solution is well suited to users in a wide range of occupations in supporting the restoration of their independence.

AVAILABLE IN THREE SIZES We started with the small COVVI Hand before building bigger. This ensured we did not compromise on any functionality across the size range. The hand is suitable for all adults and most adolescents, and the height of our three different hand sizes are:

Small: 6.6 inches / 168mm Medium: 7.1 inches / 179mm Large: 7.4 inches / 189mm

24-MONTH WARRANTY INCLUDED A 24-month manufacturer’s warranty is included with the hand by default, but there is also the option to purchase coverage for an extra 12 or 36 months. This provides additional peace of mind by covering the hand for a total of 3 and 5 years, respectively.

SMART FINGERTIPS Each fingertip is equipped with a sensor, enabling seamless transitions between grip patterns. These sensors allow each finger to be individually mapped to different grip styles within the COVVI Go App, making the COVVI Hand faster and more intuitive for new users. For instance, holding the fingertip, or pressing it against a hard surface, can instantly activate the Finger Point grip pattern, ideal for interacting with touchscreens and keyboards.

MOTORIZED THUMB DESIGN (PATENTED) The COVVI Hand’s thumb allows for powered rotation between opposition and non-opposition. Its uniquely patented “Thumb Tap” feature provides quick access to various grips without relying on myoelectric inputs, a novel switching method. This feature is especially beneficial for bilateral users, enabling quick and independent grip changes by simply tapping the thumb on their leg or nearby hard surface.

E-PAPER SCREEN The integrated E-paper screen provides real-time visual feedback by displaying the current grip and grip table you’ve activated. This feature is particularly valuable for new users learning to navigate a bionic prosthetic arm, as well as for experienced users who wish to explore advanced grip-switching strategies.

INTEGRATED FLEX WRIST Our integrated flex wrist allows for bi-planar wrist movements. It can be locked into 27 degrees of flexion, extension, or a neutral position, reducing compensatory body movements. Notably, our hand has the lowest profile flex wrist on the market, making it ideal for users with limited space in their prosthetic limb build. The flex wrist’s free position also permits more natural, organic movements, allowing the hand to move fluidly with you.

TOUCHSCREEN COMPATIBILITY

The COVVI Hand’s index finger is designed to work seamlessly with capacitive touchscreens, making it perfect for use with tablets, smartphones, smartwatches, and other touchscreen devices, as well as at ticket machines and supermarket checkouts.

REMOTE ASSIST By connecting your COVVI Hand to the COVVI Go App, trained COVVI technicians and accredited clinicians can remotely access your device from anywhere in the world. They can instantly adjust configurations and perform diagnostics, reducing the need for clinic visits and getting you back to full functionality quickly.

GLOVE DESIGN The COVVI Hand comes with an integrated silicone glove that ensures soft and secure interactions, especially when assisting others. The silicone’s high friction coefficient minimizes the risk of slipping when grasping plastic or metal objects. Additionally, the flattened fingertips provide a larger surface area for precise tip to-tip and tip-to-pad interactions.

STANDBY MODE To prevent unintended actions, the COVVI Hand can be placed in standby mode, temporarily ignoring myoelectric signals. This feature is especially useful when handling delicate objects or holding items for extended periods, such as cutlery or mobile phones. The dorsal button activates and deactivates this mode, as well as serving as a trigger for changing grip patterns.

FAST ARTICULATION The COVVI Hand offers rapid articulation for opening and closing, providing more intuitive control in everyday interactions. It takes just 0.8 seconds to fully close in the Power Grip pattern, delivering up to 90 Newtons of force, and only 0.4 seconds in the Tripod Grip pattern.

CUSTOMISABLE GRIPS Through the COVVI Go App, you can access a variety of additional grip patterns and gestures to download directly to your COVVI Hand. This allows you to personalize your hand’s configuration to better meet the challenges and demands of daily life. Furthermore, you can request new custom grips to be incorporated into the grips library to tailor your hand to your needs.
