Congratulations Bec!

Such exciting news, the 1 st Street Labe Baby, we are delighted to tell you that Bec Boxall gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Ruby Joy Boxall on Tuesday 6th March, weighing 6lb 5oz. Both Bec and Ruby are doing well, Bec will be returning to work late November, working 3 days a week and Ruby will be joining our Chicklets.

5 Star Food Hygiene Rating: 22 Street Lane Nursery retains its 5 star rating for food and hygiene. We had a surprise visit from the Food and Hygiene officer on Friday 16th March, we were inspected by the local authority Food Standards Agency to ensure that our Kitchen meets the legal requirements, the inspector reviewed the following: • The premises and how we work • The kinds of food we make and prepare • Our food safety management system We are pleased to say that we were awarded the highest rating of 5 Stars! Congratulations to our chef David Salter who led the inspection.

22 Street Lane takes great pride in separating the waste within the Nursery, food recycling bins have been introduced to divert food waste to anaerobic digestion facilities. In addition to this we have created composting facilities within the nurseries’ gardens and introduced a new recycling lessons within the classrooms to ensure we become green and recycling the right materials. We are working hard on our journey to try and achieve zero landfill waste and pass on the right messages to our children, our Senior Management team, practitioners and kitchen team emphasise the importance of being environmentally savvy and respecting our planet.
