Beach Party We had a fantastic day for our beach party. We all dressed up in our summer clothes and had lots of fun, it was just like being at the seaside. We had lots of beach themed activities and even had a slip n slide set up in the garden. We then had homemade fish and chips and mushy peas for our lunch in paper cones.

Carnival Week We had a great week with lots of carnival themed activities. On Friday we had a party, we dressed up in bright clothes and we had Caribbean inspired meals throughout the day. We had Avocado on toast for breakfast. Lunch was Jerk Chicken with rice and mixed vegetables followed by some Ginger cake. For tea we had Chickpea and Pineapple Salsa with Sweet Potato Wedges. We also made carnival crowns using feathers and sequins and did some carnival dancing!

Kindness Box The Cygnets have made a Kindness box. We collected food which we donated to the food bank. We collected lots of items which we took to the charity shop on Street Lane. We also had a visit from someone from Martin House and shared some videos to the children. It is really important here at 22SLN that the children understand that some families are less fortunate than themselves and it is important to give to others. Great work Cygnets!!

Growing our own herbs Some of the children have been very busy growing some herbs. They have planted rosemary, basil, thyme, coriander or oregano. We will be watching them grow over the next few weeks and using the herbs in our meals. Yum Yum!
