Management Team Changes

Dee Sturges will be leaving us on Friday 27th August as Alex Thornton prepares for her return to 22 Street Lane in October, following her maternity leave. In the interim, Bec Boxall, our Deputy Manager will be stepping up into the Manager’s role from Monday - Thursday until Alex returns on the 11th October.

A big congratulations to Shoshanna Hall, who will be taking over the Deputy Manager’s role and working alongside Bec until Alex returns on 11th October, then from the end of October, when Bec goes on maternity leave, she will be working with Alex from then on. Sophie will also be continuing her role as Assistant Deputy Manager and will be in the office on Fridays. Shosh will be a great support to Bec and Alex as she has worked within the setting for many years.

Other Staff Changes

We would like also like to congratulate several other members of staff for their recent promotions and room changes. Jess Bilton, currently the Deputy Room Leader in the Ducklings Rooms, will be promoted to the Room Leader of the Cygnets Room. As Jess has covered for a while in the Cygnets Room earlier in the year, she has a very good understanding of the routine and running of the room when she worked with Charlotte. We wish Jess the best of luck in her new role. Replacing Jess in the Ducklings Room will be Rose Seymour, who has been promoted to Deputy Room Leader. This means that she will sadly be leaving the Cygnets Room, but Rose is very excited to be moving upstairs to join Chloe in the Ducklings Room. Rose already has some great ideas for the children and looks forward to getting to know everyone. Charlotte Baker, who is currently the Room Leader in our Cygnets Room, will be switching over to run the Swans Room. Charlotte has worked closely with the Swans team this year and is really looking forward to leading the team and the new group of children into 2021. Charlotte will also be joined by Joanna Sapeta from the Cygnets team. Joanna has many years of pre-school experience and is excited about her move to work with the Swans children. I am sure the present Cygnets will be very excited to see Charlotte and Joanna in their new room as they transition across in the near future.
