May Country of the Month (Pakistan) Celebrations

During May we celebrated Pakistan as the Country of the Month to tie into our Eid festivities. The younger children have enjoyed exploring the colours of the Pakistani flag in messy play, whilst the older children have been designing their own flags with tissue paper and shiny gold paper.

Some of the children had the opportunity to even make their own Mango Lassi and took turns to use the blender and mix up all the ingredients!

Eid Celebrations

The children have been celebrating Eid this month and learning about the customs and traditions that are followed during the festival. The children enjoyed making their own Eid Mubarak pictures consisting of stars and moons, as well as creating Henna Hands by copying some of the beautiful henna patterns they learnt about. Another popular activity involved the children making their own Baklava with fruit, which they loved trying as their snack. Thank you to all our families who shared their lovely decorations and photographs with us last month.
