Ducklings Room News

We have had a great month in the Ducklings Room and have been busy celebrating lots of fun things, such as the King's Coronation. We had a fun tea party, where we ate some yummy sandwiches and flapjack, and listened to some Royal music. Some of the Ducklings also brought in some beautiful crowns to celebrate, which they enjoyed wearing for the tea party. We also had some royal-themed activities, such as playing with red, white and blue playdough and rice messy play. Later in the month, we had a great day when the mobile farm came to visit us. The Ducklings were all super brave and stroked lots of the animals, including guinea pigs, an alpaca, goats and a horse! We have been lucky enough to go out on lots of outings this month too. We enjoyed visiting the park to see the pretty flowers and going to the charity shop where we got some new resources for our room. We have enjoyed some baking this month as well; the Ducklings made some yummy vegan cupcakes - they’re all getting very good at mixing. Finally, we have enjoyed celebrating World Mental Health Awareness Week. The Ducklings loved getting stuck into some messy play activities all about promoting happiness, and we made paper plate smiley faces too. We are looking forward to lots more fun next month and can’t wait to see what we get up to!
