Chicklets Room News

We have had a fabulous October getting to know some of our newest Chicklets. We are developing our PSED skills constantly, making new friendships, and becoming more confident in the room as the children settle into nursery life. This month, we have celebrated Halloween. The children have explored sensory play, such as jelly, ice, rice, cereal, paint and water. We enjoyed our Stay & Play where our lovely parents joined us! We hope that you enjoyed watching your little ones play and explore and had an insight into our Nursery day. This month we have also celebrated Rosh Hashanah. We enjoyed printing with apples and creating our own picnics. We spent lots of time concentrating on The Gruffalo story. This month we made an interactive display for the children to explore and to find the characters from the Gruffalo. The children have enjoyed lifting the pages and exploring the different textures. Next month is going to be another busy month for the Chicklets as we approach Bonfire night. We plan to have lots of creative activities to support this and may even make our own instruments to make sounds like fireworks!
