Goslings Room News

This October, we have had a blast in the Goslings Room! We have explored lots of different activities, looked at lots of different people and religions and visited some more places in our community. At the start of the month, we celebrated Rosh Hashanah, we looked at traditional snacks and enjoyed baking our own bread. The children listened and danced to music whilst singing a song related to the celebration. As October is Black History Month, we explored different activities which were linked to honour the accomplishments of influential black individuals. We looked at traffic light systems, which were introduced in 1923 by Garret Morgan, as well as exploring ice cream cones as they were invented in 1897 by Alfred Cralle. The children enjoyed exploring lots of fun tuff trays as well as playing traffic light games in the garden. The Goslings have had so much fun exploring lots of spooky Halloween-themed activities and have had so much fun for our parents to stay and play. At the end of October, we will be celebrating Diwali by looking at colours, lights, and Rangoli patterns. We will be listening to traditional music and doing some fun traditional baking. We are getting ready for a busy November. We will be looking at Children in Need, Remembrance Day, Bonfire Night and celebrating Thanksgiving. We will also be looking at our feelings ready for World Kindness Day as well as singing some of our favourite songs for World Nursery Rhyme Week, we have so much to look forward to!
