Cygnets Room News

The Cygnets have had a fantastic month and have been settling into their new room and following the new daily routine really well! We have been very busy celebrating our Country of the Month 'Italy', one of the Cygnets brought in some of their Italian books from home and sang 'Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush' in Italian for the rest of their friends, they also told us how to say the name of some fruits in Italian. We then made our own tortilla wrap pizzas using tomato sauce, cheese and basil. The Cygnets have enjoyed spending time in the allotment area, we have been very busy digging up all the potatoes that were planted in the Summer, the Cygnets then cleaned the potatoes, cut them in half and drizzled them with some olive oil and mixed herbs before giving them to Chris to cook for us in the oven. We are thoroughly enjoying exploring our seasons, in particular, Autumn. We have been on a walk to Roundhay Park collecting many Autumn themed objects including leaves, sticks, acorns and conkers. The Cygnets have been using their listening ears as we listen for the crunching of the leaves and the tapping of the sticks. We have also been very creative as we have made many crafts using the leaves and sticks that we have collected at the park and the garden.
