22 Street Lane Nursery - October 2020 Newsletter

October Newsletter NEWS

Security and safety improvements around the nursery We have already implemented several additional safety measures within the back garden, and are in the process of adding several more for parents arriving/leaving the nursery who require access to the side gate within the 9am-4pm window. These have been made to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for all our children. As a part of this, we will also be moving the green ‘Parent Release’ button in the front garden imminently, so please bear with us while that work is completed.

We do ask that all parents support us by ensuring that you securely close any gate that you use within the setting and we would actively encourage you to drop your child off whilst the side gate is unlocked, if at all possible. This will help to minimise disruption for the staff and the other children in their care. For clarity, the times when the gate is unlocked are 7:30am - 9:00am and 4:00pm - 6:00pm. As you would expect, we raised the case with Ofsted, who visited us on Wednesday 30th September to review our new measures and processes alongside our Covid-19 policies. We are very pleased to report that they were happy with everything that they saw, the actions we had taken and the overall safety of the setting. As a team, we continue to review the policies, processes and security measures in place on an ongoing basis and welcome any constructive feedback from parents and carers.
