Goslings Room News

What a fabulous month we’ve had in the Goslings Room. We have had many laughs, many cuddles and many activities. We have celebrated a lot of culture this month with it being Yorkshire Day, Pakistan Independence Day and Carnival Week. We celebrated by listening to music, baking food and exploring colours. The Goslings children have really enjoyed learning about each other and talking about their families, incorporating the materials and food ingredients into their roleplay. We have had a few trips out into our community this month. We started off the month with a trip to the bakery and charity shops where we found a ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ bag. The children hunted around the big garden for natural resources to fill up their own sensory bottles which created the perfect story sack. The children use this daily and love to use the bottle when retelling the story. We have also had a few more trips out to the park! Throughout August the children have enjoyed their settles into the Cygnets Room, they’ve spoken about the fun things they’ve been doing and they’ve really enjoyed playing with the Chicklets when they have been down to visit. We also said a big goodbye to Kimberly who has been doing Shake, Rattle and Boogie with us for the past two years, we made her a big card and gave her a big cuddle on our last session. We are so sad to see our Goslings go, however, we’re excited to watch them flourish in the Cygnets Room. We are also super happy to welcome our new cohort, we can’t wait to see what they get up to!
