Chicklets Room News

We started the month by celebrating Gruffalo Week! The Chicklets enjoyed getting involved in all the different Gruffalo-themed activities! The children enjoyed exploring the Gruffalo messy tray, where they had to find different animals from the Gruffalo story, and used their fine motor skills to mix and crunch the Gruffalo crumble! The Chicklets also helped make some yummy ‘Gruffalo Crumble Bites’, and did so well at waiting for their turn at mixing the ingredients and helped Chloe roll them into little balls. They were so yummy! As always, the Chicklets have also been loving trips to the local park. The Chicklets enjoyed a trip to Roundhay Park and saw some beautiful wildlife along the way. We took a stroll through the fairy houses to see if any fairies were at home! The Chicklets enjoyed walking around the lake, feeding the ducks, seeing a heron and even a beautiful blue kingfisher bird! The Chicklets have been celebrating Carnival Week; they enjoyed exploring all the different colours we see at the Carnival in the tray using our transportation schemas to empty and fill! We danced to some carnival music and tried on different carnival brightly coloured outfits!
