Chicklets Room News

Happy ‘end of August’ to everyone from the Chicklets Room. The Chicklets have been super busy exploring everywhere this month- we have made lots of trips to Roundhay Park and enjoyed playing football, looking at the ducks in the lake and exploring the fairy garden in the woods! Avoiding the drizzly days, the Chicklets have spent lots of time outdoors and during the sunny days we have had lots of fun in the paddling pools splashing, pouring and filling containers. To celebrate Yorkshire Day on 1st August we enjoyed exploring a water tray with flavoured tea bags and made our very own cups of tea. We also enjoyed lots of sensory-coloured rice and feathers and used our gross motor skills whilst dancing to lively music to celebrate Carnival Week. We had so much fun! In September we have the Harvest Festival to look forward to, The European Day of Languages and the children will be doing lots of baking for our bake sale. The Chicklets have also explored the Goslings Room during their settles and have all thrived in their new room. They have enjoyed getting to know their new key workers and exploring their new environment. They were very excited each time it was their turn to visit their new room and all very ready for their next adventures as Goslings.
